All Teka washing machines have A class( cotton 60º C programme) with the most efficient consumption. But in Teka we think washing efficiency is also important since it guarantees the best washing results in the clothes so most of our washing machines have also A washing efficiency class.
- Anti-return detergent system:
Teka washing machines have an anti-return detergent system which avoids detergent losses, over pressures, odours, vapours, etc.
- Automatic Regulation of water:
Self adjusting water level to load or Electronic Variable Load. Thanks to a special weight sensor in the tub, Teka washing machines adjust automatically water, energy and detergent consumption according to the quantity of clothes and type of fabric, getting:
- Higher precision and washing efficiency.
- Energy, water and detergent saving
- Increase of the clothes’ useful life
If the user does not want to wait to have a full load, he can wash with variable load saving energy, water and detergent.
- Balance control:
The balance control system of Teka washing machines optimizes the clothes distribution, preventing the clothes from forming a lump; it also increases stability, reducing the noise level caused by vibrations which extends the useful life of the washing machine.
- Bi-thermal washing machine:
These models are equipped with a double water inlet for cold and warm water in order to go along with the new legislations about new building construction. Bi- thermal washing machines allow saving energy.
- Condenser dryer:
In the condenser dryers, the steam from the drying turns into water thanks to a condenser, situated in the lower part which channels water to a tank in the rear part of the dryer.
- Crease guard button:
Some washing machines incorporate a function more advanced than the spinning exclusion button. The crease guard button starts a special cycle of short spins which ends up in a 5 minutes final cycle in which the drum spins softly. It prevents the clothes getting creased and makes it easier to iron them later.
- Delayed door opening:
A special safety device prevents the immediate opening of the door at the end of the spinning cycle. The user must wait around 2 minutes until the program ends completely before opening the door.
- Delayed programming:
It allows delaying the beginning of a program up to 24 hours to take advantage of the more economic night tariffs and to begin a wash without having to check on the washing machine.
- Detergent drawer:
Teka washing machines buckets have 4 original compartments for the detergent, the bleach, the softener, etc.
- Double direction spinning:
Reverse System or double direction spinning: It is the alternative spin of the dryer’s drum. The drum spins 5 seconds clockwise and another 5 seconds counter clockwise. It has 2 advantages: a) it reduces creases and b) it dries more evenly.
- Double door washing machines:
It is possible to fit a front panel of 3 mm thickness which matches with the rest of the kitchen design perfectly.
- Drum:
The Teka washing machine drum is a perforated stainless steel drum. The special design of the drum makes clothes slide smoothly inside the washing machine.
- Dual System:
Double door washing machines incorporate a new dual system which improves their versatility considerably when installing them in the kitchen.
Thanks to the incorporation of special hinges, the washing machine can be transformed from double door to partially integrated with the installation of a wooden door.
- Electronic washing machine:
Some Teka washing machines have a 3 digit electronic display with indicator of remaining time, indicator of length of every programme by turning the dial and delayed programming of up to 24 hours, the whole process being electronically controlled. One of the main characteristics of Teka integrated and decor framed washing machines is their ease of use thanks to their modern control panels of “easy use”. Teka washing machines have an electronic bidirectional soft control which makes the starting easier, being able to chose between 22 different washing programmes.
- Evacuation dryers:
In the air evacuation dyers, steam is expelled to the outside through a nearby evacuation pipe in an exterior wall.
- Extra-rinse:
Pressing this button, depending on the selected programme, either starts a rinse or an additional rinse is added. This is particularly important for people with delicate skin.
- Fast programme 32 minutes:
For those clothes that do not require a very intensive wash, for example the ones washed daily, Teka has a complete programme ( pre-wash-wash-rinse-spinning), which adjusts to the optimum the water, detergent and energy consumption and washes 2 kilograms 50º in 32 minutes, facilitating a quick and delicate wash of the clothes. Furthermore, some models incorporate in the control panel a button ( super rapid button) which reduces from 10 to 50 minutes the length of all the programmes as long as the clothes are not too dirty.
- Fast ironing program:
The anti-crease cycle is a 10 minute programme which alternates cold air with hot air and prevents creases forming.
- Filter:
Teka washing machines have 2 types of filters:
Self cleaning Syphon Filter: The great advantage of this Teka system in comparison with others is that it does not need maintenance and, as it is in the waste pipe, it is more difficult to become loose and leak or to become blocked if it does not evacuate the water. When the water comes out, the threads, the downs, etc get drained gradually.
Easily removable filter: Other models have an easily removable filter in the lower part of the washing machine. If any objects find their way in, the filter can be removed and emptied easily, comfortably and cleanly.
The condenser dryer has a removable filter with lamp indicator which warns you when the filter must be cleaned.
- Foam Control:
The intelligent system of foam control adds an additional rinse if it detects detergent still in the clothes, being ideal for sensitive skins.
- Free-Standing:
Those models are installed freely, independently from the kitchen cabinets. Teka has silver models which match perfectly with the refrigerator and the dishwasher in the same finish.
- Fuzzy logic system:
With Fuzzy Logic system or electronic washing management, all the washing processes (pre-wash, wash, rinse and spin) are controlled electronically.
The Fuzzy Logic system corrects the irregularities which could be found along the programme (for example a foam level higher than expected or poor load weight distribution). Fuzzy logic washing machines obtain more precise and efficient washes.
Washing machines with fuzzy logic system have more advanced actions such as making ironing easier.
- Half load Program:
It reduces the consumption of water and electricity in the rinse if the washing machine is not fully loaded (less than 3 kilograms). This function is useful if the user cannot wait to have a full load.
- Hand Wash program:
Delicate washing cycle. This programme is a full washing cycle for clothes to wash by hand. The programme washes at a maximum temperature of 30º C and ends with two rinses and a delicate spin.
- Hot air circuit:
The hot air circuit is the system which circulates hot air through the fabric. The drum turns the garments upside down without creasing them, saving energy and reducing ironing time. The water in the clothes inside the dryer is transformed into steam.
The heating element lies behind the dryer (in the lower left part). When the dryer works, the fan sucks hot air coming from the element, passing it through the perforated drum where the damp clothes are heated and dried. The hot, damp air pass through a flexible tube which must be connected to the outside.
- Humidity control sensor:
The air evacuation dryer TKS 650 and the condenser drier TKS 690 C have an electronic humidity sensor which measure the humidity level of the clothes, applying the necessary intensity. When it reaches the optimal level it ends the program, avoiding over drying and saving energy.
- Integrated:
These models are built inside a kitchen cabinet and the door of the cabinet is fitted onto the appliance. If the door is closed, it is impossible to tell whether there is an appliance inside or a normal cabinet. Models in which the double door corresponds with the kitchen unit make the appliance totally hidden.
- LCD Multifunction Display:
Liquid Crystal display with information about programmes, spin speed, washing stages, end time delayed programming, etc.
- Loading capacity:
Teka washing machines and dryers have a large capacity, standardized up to 7,5 kg drum, which makes it possible to wash heavy loads and garments of different sizes such as duvets, anoraks, curtains, carpets, etc without the need to use the dry cleaners.
- Porthole door:
All Teka washing machines and washer dryers incorporate a glass porthole door up to 32 cm diameter, which unlocks by pressing a button in the control panel, making loading and unloading large quantities of clothes easier, allowing a total access to the inside of the drum.
The button in the control panel means you don’t have to bend down every time you open the door and prevents children opening the door accidentally. Some Teka models have an tilted glass door which acts as a safety system against outer temperatures. Thanks to this protection, the clothes are brought back softly to the inside of the drum, receiving an especially careful treatment. The 180º opening angle makes loading and unloading clothes easier
- Pressure switch system:
Teka washing machines have a double level pressure switch: one of load level (the electrovalve closes when it detects a certain water level) and a safety one, which as soon as it reaches a certain water level, automatically closes the electrovalve, protecting against possible overflows, leaks and floods. TKE 1200 T has instead a triple pressure switch: one to start washing, one for the rinse and finally the security one.
- Rain Effect System:
The special design of the drum’s asymmetric blades soaks the laundry more efficiently, since the blades scoop the water up inside the tub when turning and spray it over the clothes. This non-stop movement creates a shower or rain effect that improves and accelerates washing, drying and rinsing.
- Rapid programmes:
For those clothes that do not require a very intensive wash, for example the ones washed daily, Teka has a complete programme (pre-wash-wash-rinse-spinning), which adjusts to the optimum the water, detergent and energy consumption and washes 2 kilograms at 50º C in 32 minutes. Other Teka models have a super rapid 29 minute washing program.
Apart from the 32 minute program, other models have a super rapid button which reduces the length to a maximum of 50 minutes and washes up to 6 kilograms of cotton and synthetic clothes. It is ideal for slightly soiled clothes.
- Safety block:
Teka electronic washing machines have an electronic programmer which avoids accidentally switching them on, especially by children.
- Spin speed selector:
The spin speed selector adapts the speed according to the type of fabric (resistant, delicate, …..). Teka has models up to 1300 r.p.m when an appropriate average speed would be 800-1000 r.p.m and has models of up to 7 different speeds. Likewise, Teka models have spinning exclusion buttons. The higher the spin speed, the drier the clothes come out of the washing machine. This can involve a great energy saving if we plan to use the tumble dryer. Delicate clothes must be spun at a lower speed. If we spin at high speed, the clothes get creased.
- Spinning exclusion:
All the washing machines have the alternative of spinning exclusion, especially useful when you are not going to take the clothes out of the drum immediately or for delicate clothes like linen. In the spinning exclusion clothes become humid but not wrapped in water. When pressing the spinning exclusion button, the washing machine jumps the last cycle and it is not going to dry.
- Stainless steel fingerprint proof:
Teka washing machines have an optional exclusive door in fingerprint proof stainless steel, which gives a unified look to kitchen.
- Start/ Pause button:
It is very useful when you forget about introducing any clothes in the washing machine. Thanks to this button you can interrupt whenever you want any programme to introduce a forgotten garment.
- Stop with water:
Teka washing machines have also stop with water function. If the clothes are not going to be taken out of the washing machine immediately, this function allows leaving the clothes floating in the drum avoiding this way the build-up of creases and bad odours before hanging the clothes.
- Tub:
Teka washing machines and washer-dryers ranges have a Silitech tub and a stainless steel drum. Silitech is a synthetic state-of-the-art recycling material of great durability. It’s resistant to bleach, stainless, keeps its shape and absorbs noises and reduces vibrations and heat loss (keeping water temperature). Unlike the stainless steel tubs, silitech tubs do not rust and cracks are not formed.
- Ventilation programme:
The ventilation programme is a 10 minute cold ventilation which starts at the beginning of the drying stage. It is especially recommended for clothes which smell badly but are not dirty (it is not necessary to wash them). It allows ventilating and cooling the clothes eliminating the bad odours (e.g. cigarette smoke).
- Washer- Dryers:
Appliances which wash and dry simultaneously. They can be integrated or double door. They are ideal when there is limited space available.
- Water protection System:
Teka washing machines have a locking system in case of lack of water and/or lack of electricity.
- Wet column:
The dryer can be also installed in a column, saving room and allowing clothes to be passed comfortably from the washing machine to the dryer. Teka offers a special assembly kit in column in order to fix and align the dryer perfectly and hide the feet of the dryer.
