Dishwashers

- A class:

European norms that define the main characteristics of a dishwasher.

- Energy efficiency. Thanks to the new electronics which help reduce energy consumption, Teka dishwashers reach the highest class according to the European Norms.
- Washing efficiency. Thanks to the new features like the impulse wash system, the Oscillating wash system in the 45 cm model and improvements in the inner design, better washing results are obtained.
- Drying efficiency. Thanks to the strategic placement of the cutlery rack (basket) in the upper part, the inner redesign and the dryer condenser which reduces condensation to the minimum, making humidity condense on the inner walls and the crockery dry hygienically, better drying is achieved.

- Adjustable upper basket:

All the elements of the Teka upper basket are retractable, allowing it to be lifted and put down with the maximum versatility and flexibility. The adjustment is an important feature as it makes the placement of more or bigger place settings possible in the upper basket. It is very common that when we are placing the crockery and the cutlery in the dishwasher we need more space in the upper basket, for example if some utensil hits the upper part or some big place settings in the lower basket obstruct the sail arm.

Teka has 3 different systems of upper basket regulation:

- Tilting basket system. Thanks to the elimination of the venturi tube, it can wash plates up to a 30 cm diameter.
- Push up system: The new Push up system is a tilting system which allows adjusting the basket from one of the two sides
- Pull out system to adjust basket height. Includes a rack height adjuster.

- Aqualogic:

The water dirtiness sensor located at the exit of the hydraulic block controls automatically the entrance or renovation of water depending on the dirtiness level of the load. If the water is clean, it uses it again at 60º C without unnecessary additional rinses so water, time and energy are saved. If the water is dirty, a pre-wash with water at 70º C is made. This does not involve an additional energy consumption because there is no heating.

- Aquastop:

It is a safety system which prevents water overflows via two electro-valves: one situated in the water pipe and the other in the inner tank.

With the Full Aquastop system, Teka dishwashers detect any leaks inside the appliance closing the water inlet as well as the water pipe (outer safety), reaching 100% safety in the dishwasher.

Other models incorporate the same security system but just in the tank, reaching 75% safety level. ( Aquastop or Tray aquastop)

“Teka” dishwashers have also a safety draining system: the programme drains if it detects any problems.

In the Aquastop in the tank, a floating device activates a micro switch, which sends a signal to the electro-valve to close the water flow. The floating device activates when water in the cavity is detected. ( Air break for come/in/out).

- Autoprogram:

The automatic programme 60-70º C works together with Aqua Logic. The dishwasher detects the crockery dirtiness level and the amount of water needed to get a perfect result with the minimum energy and water consumption. The automatic programme allows the customer to use a different programme every day.

- Back Regulation of the rear feet:

Adjustable rear feet from the plinth in some integrated models, what makes a perfect balance easier without having to pull the appliance out.

- Balanced door:

Teka dishwashers doors allow the doors stay in position when they are opened, avoiding unexpected knocks. It also cushions the door when closing. This feature allows detergent or rinse aid to be added without having to bend over, since it stays in any position.

- Balance Door Regulation:

Some integrated models have a system which adjusts the balance (swinging) with a simple tightening of the hinges without having to remove the door.

- Concealed heating element:

The hidden heating element or resistance of water heating is integrated in the chassis of the dishwasher. Available in most Teka dishwashers, the hidden heating element:

- Reduces the quantity of water in the preheating
- Heats the water coming into the tub more quickly (heat drives more quickly)
- Makes the loading and washing of plastic pieces in the bottom basket simpler (it increases the space or capacity as the walls are kept flush). 
- Makes cleaning simpler because the tub remains free of obstacles.
- Eliminates burning smells.

- Control panels:

Teka offers stainless steel fingerprint proof control panels or stainless steel look (unified look and easy cleaning). Types of panels: Digital display, electronic panels and electromechanical panels. Digital information display lets the user know about the selected programme, delay timer, indicator pilot for lack of salt or rinse aid, dry exclusion, economy programme, half load program, alarm situation, etc. The electronic control system is able to detect and signal a series of possible malfunctions of the dishwasher.

- Decor framed:

They are placed under worktop with a frame kit.

- Delayed programme:

Teka dishwashers are able to delay the beginning of a programme to take advantage of the night tariffs which are more economical. This way, the dishwasher will start and be ready when you need it. Teka dishwashers have 3 delay programme alternatives: from 1 to 9 hours, 1 to 12 hours and 2-4-6 hours.

- Direct injection:

Direct injection through the lower back part increases the inner capacity of the dishwasher and improves the washing capacity.

- Drop down basket supports:

As basket supports can be dropped down, you can place pans or large trays etc.s in the lower basket, increasing the adaptability of our dishwashers

- Eco programme:

The Teka dishwasher range has programmes especially designed to save water and energy. These kinds of programmes are useful when the baskets are not completely full or when the plates are not too dirty. The Eco programme is a washing programme, without pre-wash at 50º C or 55º C, depending on the models. It is the programme used to get the energy efficiency class.

- End of washing warning system:

As the control panel in the integrated dishwasher is completely hidden, some Teka models have a special end of washing warning system. Integrated dishwashers warn through 10 consecutive beeps if the wash is not over. If the door is closed, the wash cycle continues. When it is over, it warns through the illumination of 2 fixed LEDs (end) and 2 beeps.

- 45 cms dishwashers:

45 cm dishwashers are part of the Teka compact range. Kitchens are becoming smaller and smaller, there are more single-parent homes, more people having lunch out of home during the working week. In Teka we have thought about all that, developing a range of 45 cm dishwashers with the most complete features.

- Half load programme:

It allows you to wash more frequently while saving water, electricity and detergent. The half load programme activates the wash in the upper basket for 6 place settings leaving the lower basket empty. Furthermore, some Teka models allow washing either in the upper basket or in the lower one (half load programme in upper or lower basket) taking advantage of the lower one to wash large utensils. Teka even has 45 cm wide, integrated dishwashers with half load program. Ideal for small loads of crockery.

- Impulse wash system:

Water comes out alternately of the top spray arm and the bottom spray arm leaving the detergent to act longer. The results are water and energy consumptions equivalent to a half load wash, even washing to the maximum capacity.

- Independent:

Free standing models whose installation is not fixed to the furniture.

- Integrated:

The dishwasher becomes is totally integrated in the kitchen. The control panel is hidden.

- Inner door:

The Teka flap back or storm door is made of austenitic stainless steel ( 18% chrome and 10% nickel) which protects against rusting.

- Fast and Intensive 50 minutes programme:

It is a special programme Teka introduces in some new integrated models. It is ideal to wash extremely dirty pots and pans in around 55 minutes. It is a wash at 65º C with a cold rinse and a hot rinse at 70º C.

- Lime:

Lime comes from the decomposition of limestone at temperatures between 900º C and 1, 200ºC, producing carbon dioxide and calcium oxide. Lime in the water causes loss of brightness and transparency in the glass.

- Memory function:

Thanks to this feature, in case of power cut, the programme starts again with the same parameters and during the time remaining to end. Furthermore, this function is very useful for technicians because it brings a list with the services that an appliance has had.

- Microfilter:

All Teka dishwashers have triple filtering with micro filtering in austenitic stainless steel (18% chrome and 10% nickel) so that solid objects cannot get into the circuit. The microfilter means both a longer lasting product and a high quality water filtering process. All Teka dishwashers have austenitic stainless steel tub and flap back (18% chrome and 10% nickel) which protect against rusting. The stainless steel inner cavity ensures trouble-free operation.

- Mixed Aquastop:

The new mixed aquastop system some free standing and partially integrated models have consists of a flexible tube with a double layer or protection visible for the customer. In case of breakage of the inner tube, water retains or holds in the outer protection( tube) which in case of loss becomes pink, warning the user that the problem is in the tube and preventing overflows. In the Mixed Aquastop system, when the floating device operates, the mixed Aquastop system blocks the electrovalve and starts the drain pump.

- Noise Level:

Teka dishwashers reach optimal noise levels. Our most silent versions feature three layers of sound-dampening material applied to the inner cavity where vibrations originate.

Teka has dishwashers up to 47 Db(s), 250 % less noisy than the average noise level of a conventional dishwasher: 51 db(A) re 1 pW 137db. Thanks to their low noise levels, Teka dishwashers are ideal for night time use, without disturbing you or your neighbours and at the same time taking advantage of the most economical night tariffs.

- Oscillating system:

The 45 cm dishwashers DW7 45 FI and DW7 45 S stand out because of the exclusive spraying system of the bottom spray arm (lower sprinkler or sprayer). The new system makes circular movements at the same time as moving throughout the dishwasher. This double movement: circular and pendulum-like (oscillating) allows the water to reach every single part unlike other methods which make just a circular movement. As a result of its innovative spraying system it handles up to 10 place settings and cleans all the crockery perfectly.

- Partially integrated:

Models in which is possible to install a door in combination with the rest of the kitchen units.

- Special cutlery program:

Teka has special programmes for glassware that is extremely delicate and sensitive to high temperatures. It consists of an economy and quick washing cycle at 45 º, rinse with warm water, rinse with hot water and dry.

- Stainless steel fingerprint proof:

All the integrated Teka dishwashers have an optional stainless steel fingerprint proof door of the same type and colour scheme as the rest of home appliances even for 45 cm. This special surface available in all the Teka range, makes cleaning simple and easy, since it does not let grease and other particles adhere. Furthermore, some Teka models come as standard with fingerprint proof stainless steel.

- Third upper sprayer:

Thanks to the placing of a third sprayer in the upper part of the dishwasher, we get better cleaning and a better rinse.

- 3 in 1 selector:

The new Teka dishwashers incorporate a sophisticated specific system for 3 in 1 tablets (the ones which have salt, rinse aid and detergent in a single tablet) and 4 in 1 tablets ( with anticorrosion factor for the glass). The new system recognises through sensors if these kind of products are being used. In this case, the dishwasher automatically blocks the salt and rinse aid intake allowing the three products included in the detergent tablet to work efficiently. This optimizes the washing results with the minimum detergent, salt and rinse aid consumption.

- Tub:

Teka dishwasher tubs are made of austenitic stainless steel (18% chrome and 10% nickel) which protects against rusting. The hidden heating element is in the tub.

- Water softener:

The water softener eliminates the calcium carbonate in the water to prevent it settling on the crockery and forming white spots on the glass surface (crystal protection). When it blocks, it cannot eliminate the lime (calcium carbonate), so we have to add salt. Some models have 4 and other 5 positions to adjust the level according to the hardness of the water. The 45 cm range has a new water softening regulation system which reduces salt consumption by 10%.
