1. Neither the hob nor the pilot light works:

Why: The main cable is not connected.

How to: Connect the main cable.

2. No spark appears when the automatic ignition switch is pressed:

Why: Power is not reaching the plug.

How to: Check /repair the main supply.

3. A spark appears but the burner does not ignite:

Why: The sparking plug and the corresponding burner is dirty or coated with grease.

How to: Clean the end of the sparking zone plug and the burner.

4. The burners do not ignite:

Why: Gas is not reaching the hob.

How to: Check that the gas bottle regulator is correctly positioned and open. Open the gas connection tap in the case of main gas.

5. The burner ignites but when the safety switches released it goes out:

Why: There is no flame in the thermocouple zone.

How to: The gas burners are blacken the pans.

6. The gas burners blacken the pans:

Why: Burner apertures dirty.

How to: Clean burner apertures.

Why: Gas nozzle or the diffuser is dirty.

How to: Clean gas nozzle or diffuser without using objects which could damage or modify the diameter of the gas outlet orifice.
